Manon Lewis

Visual Arts Teacher

Hello All! This is my 43rd year teaching Visual Art here at BRHS! Being an art teacher is my passion and I try to bring my excitement for learning and "making" to my students! Currently I teach Introductory Art, Sculpture & Jewelry as well as co-teaching an Integrated Arts (Art & Music) course with my performing arts colleague, Mary Miller. For the last 10 years I have also served as the advisor to the BRHS Student Council. I have an undergraduate degree (B.S. in Art Education) from Florida International University and a masters degree (M.A. in Integrated Arts) from Lesley University.

I am interested in so many things. I take landscape photos almost every day. I love travelling, gardening and of course making art! My most current interest is spending time (playing) with my baby granddaughter!

Mary Miller

Performing Arts Teacher

Hi Parents and Students: I have been teaching at the high school for 28 years now...where has the time gone? Wow...so many changes since I started! I have a B.S. in Vocal Jazz, and three master's degrees: Music, Educational Leadership, and Psychology. Currently I teach Chorus, Performing Arts, Psychology, U.S. History, and I am team teaching a collaborative arts course with Mrs. Lewis. Other years I also teach Holocaust History and AP Psychology. I have been directing musicals and plays for 29 years at BRHS, my favorite being CATS. The best part of my job is working with the young, talented (and they all are) students that I interact with every day, whether in the classroom or on the stage!

Things I love to do: Attend the theatre, sing, listen to audible books, gardening, travel, enjoy Christmas, and spend lots of time with my family.

Jeff Waldrop

Director of Bands

I have a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Music Education from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I grew up in West Valley City, Utah as the oldest of ten kids in a very musical family. I was a high school Director of Orchestras in Arizona for 4 years before moving to Maine, where I have been teaching ever since. This is my fifth year at BRHS and I love it! I live in Jefferson with my wife Anne, our five kids, one dog, and lots of chickens and ducks.
