District Librarian

Teacher-Intro to Digital Technology

I started at BRHS in 2012 teaching ESL, then moved to the Guidance Dept. as the College and Career Coordinator, after which I moved into the role of District Librarian. My education includes a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Therapy from the University of Southern Maine with two years spent at the University of New Hampshire. Recently, I completed my Masters of Education in Library Media from Plymouth State University. I co-teach the Intro to Digital Technology class and oversee the libraries at BRHS and BRES. I enjoy my horses and dogs with my husband at our small farm in Boothbay and my two sons when they are home from college. I love having adventures with friends and family and reading a good book in a cozy spot.

Teacher - Intro to Digital Technology

The 2021/22 school year marks my 5th year at BRHS. Education is my second career after graduating from UMaine with a degree in Marine Biology and later with a Masters in Science Education. I started out conducting oceanographic research, until I made my way to West Boothbay Harbor to manage the Maine State Aquarium for several years. I teach 9th grade Digital Technology and support the BRHS faculty with instructional technology. When I'm not at school, I'm at home in Alna with my husband and son, enjoying gardening, collecting & selling vintage clothing, and making all kinds of arts and crafts.
