Guidance

Leanne Burnham, Director

Hello! This is my 3rd year at BRHS and my 18th year working in a high school. Prior to that, I spent 4 years working with college students. I earned my BS in Communication & Psychology at the University of Miami (Go 'Canes), my M.Ed in Student Development at the University of Maine, and this spring, I am currently a Certificate of Advanced Graduated Study in School Counseling at USM. Born and raised in Maine, I moved back to my hometown of Monmouth in 2002 to raise my daughters (almost 19, 15 and 11). In my "free" time, I enjoy following my children's activities and try to get some time on the slopes of Sugarloaf each winter. I am thrilled to be part of the BRHS team!

College & Career Access Coordinator

Hi! This is my 5th year working at BRHS and my 4th year working as the College and Career Access Coordinator. Originally from the Waterville/China Lakes Region, I attended Wheelock College in Boston and majored in Child Development & Family Relations, with a concentration in Disability Studies. After college, I lived in North Carolina, where I worked as a developmental therapist and case manager in the NICU, supporting families with medically fragile newborns as they work to transition home with therapeutic supports in place. When it came time to raise my own children, I moved back to Maine and settled in Boothbay Harbor, where my husband works as an arborist & carpenter. We also run a small family business servicing OBD systems. My sons, ages 8 and 3, keep me busy outside of work! We like to hike, fish, play soccer, and spend time at the family camp at Ocean Point.
