Anjali Enjeti Creative Nonfiction

Anjali Enjeti (creative nonfiction faculty) is a former attorney, organizer, and award-winning journalist based near Atlanta. She is the author of Southbound: Essays on Identity, Inheritance, and Social Change, which received a gold medal for Best Regional Nonfiction from the Independent Publisher Book Awards, and The Parted Earth, for which she was named Georgia Author of the year and a finalist for the Townsend Prize. Her other writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, Harper’s Bazaar, Oxford American, and elsewhere. A former board member of the National Book Critics Circle, she served as a nonfiction juror for the 2023 Kirkus Nonfiction Prize and teaches in the MFA program at Reinhardt University. Anjali co-founded the Georgia chapter of They See Blue, an organization for South Asian Democrats, and served on the Georgia AAPI Leadership Council for the Biden-Harris campaign.
