Scholarships

Scholarship funding and financial support for our students are important to Antioch MFA Program’s social justice mission. We provide numerous scholarships for both entering and continuing students. Funds are provided partially by the university and partially through our annual Fall fundraising campaign where MFA alumni have generously donated to support the next generation of writers. One hundred percent of the money raised from the annual campaign is placed within the Eloise Klein Healy Scholarship Fund and all of the money is distributed directly to students.

For entering students, the MFA Program has several scholarships available based on factors such as merit and need. Once students are accepted into our program, they receive additional information about how to apply for these scholarships. We offer numerous merit and/or need-based scholarships. All entering students have access to an application form if they are interested in applying for these scholarships.

For continuing students, the MFA Program generally offers one scholarship opportunity per year. This may vary, however, depending on the year. Typically, this scholarship call for current students occurs in January of each year. This opportunity is usually based on student need and amounts offered will vary, and will depend on the number of students who apply and the amount of funding available. All continuing students have access to an application form if they are interested in applying for these scholarships.

If you have questions about scholarships, feel free to contact the program.

AU students can apply for a variety of grants and scholarships to help fund their education.

Opportunities vary based on individual needs, location, and program of study.
