Eduroam is an international Wi-Fi internet access roaming service for users in research, higher education and further education. It allows users to securely connect to the internet at their own institution and at other participating institutions around the world using their own credentials. Eduroam is based on the most secure encryption and authentication standards available and is supported by thousands of hotspots in more than 100 countries. To use eduroam, follow the instructions below.
AU Community members will log onto SBCC's wireless network using their AUDirect ID/Password. Access the WiFi network using Eduroam.
Follow these steps if you have been connected to Antioch’s wireless networks before:
On your device, go to Network Settings.
Look for the list of available wireless (WiFi) networks.
Select eduroam. Note that the network name may appear slightly different on different devices or operating systems.
Enter your credentials when prompted.
User name will be your Antioch ID number plus @antioch.edu (e.g., 1234567@antioch.edu)
Password will be the same as your AUDirect password.
If there is an option for CA Certificate or Certificate Authority, select Do not Validate or None if available. This option may not be present on all devices.
Click Save or Connect to save the settings and wait for the device to connect to the eduroam network. This may take a few moments.
Test your internet connection by opening a web browser.
