Message from the Principal:
FID Day Reminder: When school is closed for inclement weather, please refer to directions from your child's teacher. There should be a paper in their folder with activities to complete. The paper must be signed and returned to school to count the student as present for the day.
Student Arrival: When you are dropping your student off as a car rider, please have your student exit the car as soon as you stop. Our Mini-Mounts are ready to be independent, so please have them open the doors as soon as you are stopped and exit. This will give them one more thing to celebrate that they can do on their own, and it will keep our morning line moving quickly.
*** Reminder that any student who arrives after 8:25 will be considered tardy. The gate will close, and parents will need to sign students in.

For the month of February, the counseling team is putting together lessons on Stop, Think, Act, to work on decision-making skills and problem-solving strategies with our mini-Mounts. We plan on delivering lessons created specifically for each grade level in each classroom.
If you have any questions or would like additional information about the lessons or activities, please do not hesitate to contact me at trecke@antietamsd.org or 610-779-0377. Additional classroom lessons will occur throughout the school year with a variety of topics. If you have any concerns about your child(ren) please do not hesitate to contact. I am always here to help!
School Based Counseling
We are continuing to offer School Based Counseling services through Betterview Counseling. This is a service best described as a professional therapist that your student would see during the school day, which saves you the time of having to take them to a counseling office after school.
Here is a link for information and to the referral process: Antietam School District - Betterview Counseling and Trauma Recovery LLC
As always, if you have any questions about this service, you can always reach out to me (Mr. Recke). I am happy to answer your questions!
My name is Christina. I'm the new school nurse. My background is mostly in the hospital, working in Maternal Child Health (Postpartum, NICU, and Peds). I have two sons, Anthony, who is 14, Wyatt, who is 7, and my wonderful husband, Josh. I also own my own private practice lactation business on the side. I am so excited to get to know everyone and learn this new and exciting position.
It's that time of year to start prepping to welcome our newest Mini Mounts to join the family!
If you have a student who meets the age requirement or know someone who does, please have them fill out the form below
Packets will be mailed out mid-March with more information on registration dates
Spring Picture Day is right around the corner!
Friday - February 27, 2026
Please let the office know BEFORE 2 PM of any afternoon transportation changes.
There are quite a few unexcused absences. We try everything to help avoid truancy fines. Whenever a student is out, please either email the attendance line SCESattendance@antietamsd.org or send Mrs. Kreisher a Dojo message to excuse the absence.
If your child is staying home sick, please email us at SCESattendance@antietamsd.org stating that your child is sick. This will allow us to mark the absence(s) as a parent illness note instead of unexcused. If your child is absent for three or more days, a doctor's note is required to excuse the absences.
Going on a trip? The district allows up to 5 excused days for educational travel. Please notify the office, and we'll send home a form (or click below) to fill out to excuse the absences.
