This year the PTL will be hosting their gingerbread house activity as Stony Creek again! They will also have the Little Shoppers Holiday Shop set up that day as well. Last year we were not able to have the shop set up but we are going to bring it back for 2 days before the Gingerbread House Event!
We have planned spirit days for the month of December. Please participate when you are able!
Strengthen social connections. The holiday season is a great time to reconnect with people in your lives. Accepting help and support from our loved ones can help alleviate stress. Volunteering can also be a great way to make connections. Helping others can help us feel better too!
Have conversations about the season. Talk with your children about the different holiday traditions you celebrate including the traditions others celebrate too. Some families may not celebrate the same holiday traditions as others. This a great opportunity to talk to your children about awareness!
Set expectations Set realistic expectations for gifts and holiday activities. Recognize the most important holiday tasks and take it one step at a time.
Take care of yourself Pay attention to your own needs and feelings during this time. Maybe cut back on screen time and be together as a family such as going for a walk to get some fresh, winter air. When we take care of our minds and bodies, we are more prepared to take on those stressful situations.

Friendly reminder! If your child is home sick with a fever, they must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of medication (Tylenol, Motrin, ect.) before they may return.
If your child was throwing up the previous day or through out the night, please keep them home for 24 hours.
We make every effort to get our Mini-Mounts outside for recess. Please make sure your child has a winter jacket and other items to keep them warm while they are outside (hat, gloves, scarf). If possible put your child's name inside all the items, so we can ensure they don't get lost.
If you are unable to provide any of these items, we are happy to help your family. Please reach out to Courtney Stunz at cstunz@anteitamsd.org and she will help provide anything your child needs.
A FID day is a flexible instruction day. This day is called when the weather prevents students from coming to school. You will be notified about inclement weather days through district communication including a phone call and email that you provided on skyward. There is no live virtual instruction on a FID day, instead each grade level will send home a FID Day choice board or packet. Your child will need to complete this work on the FID day and return it to school the next day. The work they turn in will count as their attendance for the FID day. Therefore, if your child does not return the work they will be marked absent for the day.
