Class description: 

If you love to eat or are curious to know where your food comes from and how it is made, this class is for you. Students will examine the science, research, marketing, processing, and packaging techniques applied to the development of food products. Learners will examine nutrient content and will examine and implement food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance protocols. Field trips to related businesses will further teach students these concepts. Students may also enroll in the supervised early release program if they would like to gain additional credits and leave school early (schedule permitting).
