Class description:

Students will apply knowledge of animal and plant science and natural resources to the agriculture industry. Students will engage in animal classification and selection, body systems, along with animal welfare and behavior. Students will learn principles of plant anatomy and physiology, and the role of nutrition, deficiencies and growing environment on plant production. Business principles will be examined along with the professional skills needed for success in these areas. Field trips to local businesses will further teach students these concepts.

This class is one year long and open to 9th and 10th graders.
