How are rising temperatures changing water stories in our community ?

The rising temperatures are greatly affecting all of the earth, not just our water. There are many many ways we are being affected. The rising temperatures cause less water and that can be the cause of forest fires which can cause more problems in itself forest fires can cause bad air and bad air can be the cause of bad air and more pollution. And then the more pollution adds to the hole in the ozone which causes more global warming therefore more rising temperatures affecting our water

There are many ways our water is being affected by our temperature rising. Our droughts are more common and more severe every year.  From research there are several years where drought were more severe. As you can see in the graph above there was a small spike in drought activity in 2020 but the years of 2021, 2022, 2023 were severe years for drought activity. But so far 2024 has not been a severe drought year as  the graph above shows.

“The Pacific Northwest is an ecologically diverse region where water supplies are heavily reliant on snowpack, precipitation, and groundwater, as well as on highly managed rivers.”

If the temperatures continue to rise as they have in the past few years we will have less snow and precipitation. If we have less snow and precipitation we will have a drought that fits in with the graph shown above. We will have a continuation of the last few years where we were in a relatively severe drought . and our ozone will continue to worsen if we have another year of a bad drought.
