Auxiliadora Guzmán is a Specialized Learning Lead at the American Nicaraguan School (ANS), supporting students from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. Since beginning her career in education in 2014, she has been dedicated to supporting students’ academic growth, confidence, and independence while responding to their individual learning needs.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, a Master’s degree in Special Education, and a second Master’s degree in Attention to Educational Development Needs. Her professional experience includes designing and implementing individualized intervention plans, small-group instruction, phonics, articulation, early literacy, and progress monitoring. She strengthens students’ reading and writing skills through engaging, evidence-based strategies and data-driven instruction.
Her work is grounded in collaboration with teachers, families, and specialists to ensure students receive meaningful and targeted support. With empathy, dedication, and a passion for education, Auxiliadora strives to create learning experiences that empower every student to recognize their strengths, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Since beginning my career in education in 2017, I have focused on supporting students’ academic growth while helping them build confidence and a positive relationship with learning. My experience includes working in intervention settings with students with a range of learning differences, including specific learning disabilities, dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and phonological and language disorders. I am currently completing my practicum toward becoming a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner (W.D.P.).
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Child Psychology, both completed in Nicaragua, a Certificate in Inclusive Education from Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico, and a Master’s degree in Special Education from Universidad de La Rioja in Spain. I prioritize building meaningful connections with my students and creating a supportive environment where they feel understood and confident. My name is Ms. Tiffany Denny and I am a dedicated Special Education educator and instructional leader with twenty years of experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in public, private, and international school settings. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Childhood Education from Long Island University and a Master of Science in Special Education from Fordham University, where I was a Federal PACTS Scholarship recipient. I am professionally certified in New York State to teach Students with Disabilities (Grades 1–6) and am passionate about creating inclusive learning environments that help every student reach their full potential.
Throughout my career, I have served as a lead teacher, intervention tutor, adaptive physical education teacher, and most recently as Lead for Specialized Learning at the American Nicaraguan School in both the primary and secondary schools. My work focuses on collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective instructional strategies, support diverse learners, and foster both academic and social-emotional growth. I believe that strong relationships, high expectations, and individualized support empower students and educators alike to succeed.
