Ask a Librarian
Until you learn how to search the different databases to locate publications you may need for an assignment, you may contact a librarian for research assistance using ASU's Ask a Librarian. The librarians are available via phone, email, and Blackboard.
For electronic communications with the library, please allow sufficient time for a response. Questions submitted Sunday through Thursday are typically answered within 24 hours. Questions submitted on Friday and Saturday may take longer.
Three ways to contact the Library:
Phone: 325-486-6534
Email: reference@angelo.edu
Blackboard Look for the “Ask a Librarian” discussion board in your courses.
As graduate nursing students, you will frequently encounter the term "peer-reviewed" in your coursework and research. But what does it mean? Peer-reviewed journals only publish articles by a panel of experts, researchers, and/or professionals in a field of study. So...what is so important about peer review?
Watch the following short 3-minute video to learn more about peer-reviewed located on the right.
Additionally, the ASU Porter Henderson Library provides some helpful information to help you avoid predatory sources. Take a few moments to review How to Recognize Peer-Reviewed (Refereed) Journals.
