About the Role
We’re seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Aide open to PRN (as-needed) work with local travel. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a variable schedule (15 to 40 hours/week) and have experience supporting elderly or disabled adults with both general and specialty care needs.
You’ll deliver direct in-home support aligned with individualized care plans and may be asked to assist clients with memory care, hospice support, or other specialized conditions.
This is a flexible opportunity, ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic caregiving role and making a meaningful impact in the lives of those they serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow client care plans and deliver personalized in-home services
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility support
Provide companionship and emotional support
Perform light housekeeping, meal prep, and medication reminders
Support specialty care (e.g., dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice) as needed
Transport clients to appointments, errands, or social activities (when applicable)
Communicate changes in condition or concerns to supervisors promptly
Accurately document care provided and maintain compliance with agency standards
Be proactive and professional in every client interaction
Submit and maintain accurate and timely documentation
Communicate with supervisor and co-workers
Ensure services are consistently delivered according to the service plan and document that all client needs are being met
Attend orientation, in-service training sessions and staff meetings
Minimum Requirements:
2+ years of caregiving experience with elderly or disabled adults
Comfortable with hands-on care including bathing, toileting, and mobility assistance
Ability to work flexible hours and travel locally (York/Lancaster/Chester Counties)
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Good physical stamina and ability to lift, transfer, or assist clients as needed
Proficient in English and capable of using basic web/mobile tools
Must pass background screening and complete required trainings
Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred:
Long Term Care Experience
Experience with hospice, dementia, or other specialty care
