My name is Kelly Crittendon and I am so excited to be your English teacher!

I was born and raised locally here in Anderson, SC. I have a B.A. in Secondary English Education from Anderson University. This is my fourth year teaching at Southwood Academy of the Arts, and I love it here!

When I am not at school, I am spending time with my family. My husband, Drew, is also a teacher and we welcomed our sweet baby girl, Isla, this past year! We are also parents to a crazy, 3 year old puppy named Pippin. Other things I enjoy are shopping at Target, traveling to new places, and trying new foods!

I love storytelling in all of its forms-- literature, writing, theatre, music, and more. However, my greatest passion is helping my students find stories that they  love and connect to.
