Welcome to the website for Leda, an original play by Amy Crider, having its world premiere on November 5, 2017, at the Cornservatory in Chicago. Ticket proceeds are being donated to a wonderful charity called Mercy Corps.

The war between Athens and Sparta is raging. Leda is captured and sold into slavery in Athens. When she has a romantic encounter with a soldier claiming to be Zeus in disguise, she's left pregnant and at the mercy of others. Her Master doesn't want another mouth to feed. But the Mayor and High Priest have their own plans for a child of Zeus. Everyone seeks to control Leda's fate. With the help of a teen-aged Socrates, can Leda outwit all of Athens? A hilarious comedy that asks:

Just what are You a slave to?

Leda played from Nov. 5 to Nov. 18, 2017. Thank you to everyone who came.

We raised 2,200 dollars for Mercy Corps.
