BEKA: [OLD BEGGAR WOMAN] Before putting down roots in Chi-town, she hails from the cornfields of Iowa. Her favorite studied method was Boleslavsky, although she doesn't believe one method covers all. Her unique vocal style has landed her musicals, independent film themes and the attention of Nashville. The same passion and strength she puts forth in all the character roles she’s had the pleasure of portraying over the years is what she will exude in portraying The Old Beggar Woman! Past collaborative projects as a founding member of Fresh Mint Media further honed other skill sets not explored before, behind the scenes and producing and directing. Prior to FMM she enjoyed collaborating on several cabaret shows as a musical stylist, musical director, co-director, co-producer and stage show creator. For Beka the sky is NOT the limit when it comes to dazzling audiences….whether in indie film or stage, and she envisions yet another level of performance in Amy Crider’s LEDA. Her newest project SOMETHING ABOUT HENRY is a short film currently in post production. When not on stage or in studio. you can find her utilizing years in front of the camera with an eye BEHIND the lens as Pic-Chick, writing books and song lyrics and melodies for herself and other musicians, and helping other actors hone their talents as a private coach. She wants everyone to know it will cost anyone 5 Drachmas to find out any more info about her! :D
