Visible Thai Culture/Buddhism in the School
Our school's Thai flag is raised each morning during the national anthem by Secondary student representatives. All staff and students stand still during this moment in the morning.
We promote the Buddhist value of doing good for a positive outcome (Karma). This supports our students with concepts of friendships and hard work.
They look almost like miniature temples on pedestals. San means 'Shrine' and Phra Phum means 'Spirit', 'God' or 'Angel'. It is the Thai belief that protector spirits live in these little houses so they will build one in front of their home or business. You will see these outside of most buildings.
Located in our oldest building on-site, Buddha overlooks the football field and out towards the school. Candles and flowers are often placed as a mark of respect.
