Nature Corridors

Do you live on a proposed Nature Corridor?
Nature corridors are a chain of gardens and green spaces that help birds, hedgehogs🦔, bees🐝, and other wildlife move safely between larger habitats. They benefit people too by cleaning the air, soaking up rainwater, and calming traffic, and improving mental well being. Here in Alwoodley, places like Adel Woods, Eccup Reservoir, and Wigton Moor Park are thriving pockets of nature. By linking them through our neighbourhoods, we can help reverse Yorkshire’s steep decline in wildlife (Yorkshire Wildlife Trust) and make our area nicer.

Together, every small patch helps rebuild a richer, healthier landscape for nature and our community.
