Mary Jane Curry has co-authored or co-edited six books, including Global academic publishing: Policies, perspectives and pedagogies, Educating Refugee-background students: Critical issues and dynamic contexts, and Language, literacy, and learning in STEM education: Research methods and perspectives from applied linguistics. She is currently co-authoring “An A-W of Academic Literacy: A Reference for Graduate Students.” She has published articles in TESOL Quarterly, English for Specific Purposes, and the Journal of English for Academic Purposes, among other journals. Curry has been a Fulbright scholar, co-associate editor of the Brief Research Reports section of TESOL Quarterly and Principal Investigator of a U.S. Department of Education Grant to prepare ESOL teachers.
Learn more about Dr. Silvia Noguerón-Liu
Dr. Noguerón-Liu studies the intersection of literacy and language education for immigrant families. Using practitioner inquiry and ethnographic methodologies, she designs programs that leverage families’ digital, multilingual, and transnational knowledge. Her research has explored the affordances and ethical considerations of digital tools for bilingual students in Arizona, Georgia, and Colorado.
