Dear Families,
For many, September 11 is a day of remembrance. As many do, I remember exactly where I was that day. I was getting ready for high school. I went upstairs and my parents were both sitting on their bed watching the news. I sat with them and we were watching live when the second plane hit the towers. I recall how quiet and somber school was that day.
Many classrooms will do some type of remembrance on September 11. I have included a few YouTube videos made specifically for children. If September 11 is something you wish to discuss with your children, please view the videos before showing and determine if they are appropriate for your family. They are made for different age levels and some may be appropriate for older children, but not younger children.
You are in charge of your child's education and it is entirely up to you to decide if September 11 is something you'd like to review.
I hope you have a nice day!
Natalie

Good Morning Families!
I hope you all had a fabulous, restful weekend. Are you ready for another week of learning adventures?
1. Video - Here's a little video with some tips, bday celebrations, etc.
Aug 31 - Monday Email - Watch Video
2. Weekly Contact - I am going to start my weekly contact with learning coaches this week. We are still doing a lot of enrollments so I may not reach each of you this week but I will definitely contact all of you before the end of the next week. After that it will be weekly. These weekly contacts are just an opportunity to check in and see if I can help with anything. Nothing stressful.
When you receive one of the "weekly contact" emails from me please respond with any questions you have and a celebration. The celebration could be anything neat your children have accomplished/learned, something fun your family did, etc.
3. Labor Day - As a reminder, next Monday is Labor Day. We follow the district calendar so I will not be working that day. Classes are always available, but it's not necessary to do online classes on vacation days. :)
4. Lesson Questions: If you have questions about any of the lessons you're working on please send me the following information:
What platform you're on
Unit
Lesson
If possible, screenshots of what's happening.
That will help me answer your questions better.
5. Emailing - On that note, please don't send emails through the platforms. We don't really check those, so the quickest way to reach me is directly through my district email.
6. Customer Service - These are the customer service numbers for each platform. They are the only ones that can help with platform technical problems and logins. We do not have any access to your private login information and since these are national platforms we aren't able to fix technical glitches with the platforms.

If you are having problems with the actual chromebooks you checked out, please let us know and fill out one of these Alpine Technology Tickets.
Filling out the tickets will send the info directly to the Alpine tech guys.
7. Enrollments - If you have not contacted me to choose classes, please do so ASAP. If we have not heard from you by Friday Sept 4 we will assume that you chose to go a different route and will drop you from our rolls. You can call me at 385-722-4531 when you're ready to choose courses. I look forward to hearing from you!
8. Rosetta Stone - I anticipate that we'll have logins to Rosetta Stone by the end of the week. Hooray!
9. TechTrep - I anticipate that we'll have logins next week for these classes. Double hooray!
I hope you all have a fantastic week!
