Prodigy is a zero-cost, curriculum-aligned, adaptive, online game-based learning platform for 1st to 8th grade. With 1,400+ skills covering depth of knowledge levels one to three, it’s been proven to improve student scores and confidence!

Students will watch their wizard grow stronger, learn new spells and acquire new equipment while facing ever more powerful opponents... all by answering math questions!

To deliver appropriate material for students, Prodigy uses a unique question algorithm. When students start playing, they begin with a placement test to determine their starting grade. Afterwards, we continuously examine their progress to determine the next skill they should receive. And, if they're doing well on a topic, they move on to the next one in the grade. But, if they're struggling with something, they go back to a prerequisite to get some practice before they get another shot.

How to sign up for Prodigy

Class codes will be entered as part of the student registration process. To get your students started, follow these instructions:

1. Navigate to Prodigy and select the "Play Prodigy" link in the top right corner of the page or head to https://play.prodigygame.com

2. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT: Select the "Log In" button on the game's login page.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT YET:Select the "Sign Up" button

3. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT: Input your username and password.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT YET:

Input your first name and last initial, along with a password you can remember.

4. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT: Click the Update button in the "New Teacher?" prompt as pictured below. If you don't have your class code on hand, you will need to login to your Teacher account to retrieve it.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT YET:

Your student will be presented with their username and the password they input. Have your student take note of both and write it down for safekeeping, then click Done.

5. Input your class code, then click Next.

Please note - while the class code prompt is present upon each login, it is not a requirement that a class code is entered on each login.

Once a code has been input once, there is no need to do so again as the account will already have been linked.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT YET: Lastly, your student will be able to create their wizard!

That's it! You can continue on to play Prodigy and you'll be tied to our class list via the class code
