You need to practice 10-20 problems in fraction division tonight. (Remember you should be spending 20-30 minutes on homework each night).
You should do at least 4 story problems.
Below are the pages you can use to practice problems. Be sure to pick problems that challenge you!
Go Math
Pg. 72 Examples A & B
Pg. 73
Pg. 77
Pg. 85-86
Practice Book
P37
P39 (You don't need to do the models)
P41
TODAY IS THE ONLY DAY YOU CAN DO THE PROBLEMS ON THE MATH PAGES! IF YOU DO THIS THOUGH, YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PLENTY OF ROOM TO SHOW YOUR WORK. IF YOU NEED MORE ROOM, STAPLE ANOTHER PAGE TO YOUR MATH PAGE!
If you finish your 10-20 problems before your 20-30 minutes are up, you may continue to do more problems OR you may do the following...
Create a way to teach others how to divide fractions. Options include, but are not limited to:
Write a song or rap
You can just write it in your hw section
You can perform it and send me the video
Create a video (email to me)
Create an instructional video teaching how to divide fractions
Teach your shoes, parents, siblings, or grandparents...record and email to me!
Teach an adult
If you want to teach an adult, but don't want to record, just have them write me a note in your HW section explaining:
What you taught them
How much time was spent
Have them sign next to the homework
Review Activity 1
With a partner write ONE story problem involving dividing fractions.
You may look at the book for ideas, but you should not copy a problem from the book directly.
Create an answer key for your problem on the back of your paper
The key should show an estimate/range and the actual answer
Check your problems/answers with a teacher
When everyone is done, we will swap with other partnerships and solve.
