WORK ACTIVITIES
Our current scope of work includes interior room renovation at Uzhhorod University and ongoing engagement activities such as the English Club and Art Sessions with local partners.
Renovation work may include:
Mold Sanitation
Scraping & Sanding
Plastering walls and ceilings as needed
Priming and painting
Fixing floors (gluing parquet where needed)
Fitting and fixing doors
University room before the renovation
After the renovation
Friendship bracelets made during the art class
Animals made by kids during the art class
TYPICAL WORKDAY
A typical workday will start with breakfast, which is followed by a morning meeting around 8:00 AM. After that, you will head to the worksite around 8:45 AM where you’ll stay until around 5:00 PM.
After you return home from the work site, you will have a chance to unwind, relax, and reflect on your day as a part of our nightly team meeting. After that, we’ll serve dinner. Every All Hands and Hearts base has a curfew and quiet hours in place to ensure we all get enough rest before the next working day. Please remember that they are non-negotiable and apply both to staff and volunteers.
