Our main scope of work is ineligible debris removal (IDR). Properties that have gone through the US Army Corps of Engineers debris removal process to remove all hazardous debris, including toxic debris, and anything in the ash footprint. are often left with existing debris on their property that needs to be removed, including concrete slabs, tree stumps, masonry walls, gravel, driveways, vegetation, etc. We are offering a free service to property owners where we do individual walkthroughs with the property owners to understand what they would like removed and what should remain untouched. We use tools such as jackhammers, chainsaws, tilling tools, pick axes, stump grinders etc.

Another occasional scope is working with chefs who use all local products to prepare meals to serve displaced residents in hotels, in their neighborhoods, and distribution hubs - up to 1,000 meals a week. We've been able to support them in food prep to achieve the timely readiness of those meals. 

We also occasionally help on a local farm, harvesting produce, some of which is taken to the distribution centers and the community.

We also work with Malama Kula. We are doing fire mitigation in response to the Kula fire that burned 300 acres on the same day as the Lahaina fire. Volunteers typically help clear the land of green waste to stop the spread of future fires. So far, we have directly impacted 23 community members and worked on 9 properties."
