LOCAL AREA

Paradise and Berry Creek are located in the foothills of the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains. Both are surrounded by stunning vistas; the Feather River that meanders through the canyon provides for short rejuvenating hikes. Throughout the region, the cool mountain breeze that brushes through the tall pines and branching oaks makes you take a moment to appreciate the great wonders of nature. Oroville and Chico are home to several large retailers as well as restaurants, ATMs and many recreational activities. Our worksites will be spread over Butte County, with concentrations in Paradise, Magalia, Concow, and Berry Creek.


There are 10 ATMS Located within a few miles of the base and there are 3 grocery stores, convenience stores, and other amenities within a 10 minute drive of the base. Best Western is the only hotel in Paradise, however there are several in Chico.

THE WEATHER

Paradise and most of California is under threat from wildfires during the wildfire season Mar-Oct. Evacuations are possible at any time. Weather is usually a distinct warm or cold season. There is very little humidity in the area, making the temperatures feel more comfortable. The rainy season is from Nov-March, with the most rain in February. Winter months get cold with strong winds, from November to February, with an average daily high temperature below 57°F. December is the coldest, with an average low of 36°F and high of 50°F. Work outdoors will be warm to hot from June to September, with an average daily high temperature above 82°F. July is the hottest with an average high of 90°F and low of 63°F
