Activities Above the Local Level

Southeast Sub-District FFA Kickball was planned for October 1st at the Martin Complex in Alburnett, Iowa. All chapters in the Southeast Sub-District of the Northeast District of Iowa FFA were invited to Alburnett to come compete in a kickball tournament for bragging rights and a traveling trophy that would  be moved to each school that won in future years. The 2022 tournamnet was cancelled due to weather and scheduling conflicts.

Northeast Iowa District Chapter Officer Leadership Training was held at Hawkeye Community College on June 10th, 2022. Chapter officers went to leadership training to learn how to work better as a team and communicate with fellow officers. Each officer got into groups with others in the respective office from around the district and shared ideas with each other about what they do in their own chapters.

Freshman FFA members traveled to Waverly-Shellrock High School on October 17th for the 2022 Northeast District Greenhand Fire-Up.  Members who attended participated in leadership and teamwork activities that were lead by current and former Iowa state FFA officers.

Josiah Steen, Matthew Neighbor, Rowdy Neighbor, Tucker Klima, Shayden Washburn, and Jett Bueckers attended the FFA Sub-District Volleyball Tournament at Midland High School on November 10th.  The team competed against multiple other chapters in the district.
