How do I authorise a SmartSolution in Google Workspace?Â
When you receive a SmartSolution from us (for example, a package containing Google Drive folders, Sheets, and Docs), you’ll first get an invitation to your email account.
When you open the SmartSolution for the first time, you may see a message that looks like this: Authorisation Required
This is completely normal. The SmartSolution needs permission to run on your Google Account before it can work correctly.
Why is authorisation needed?
SmartSolutions use Google’s built-in Apps Script to automate tasks. In order to do this, the solution must be able to access your Google Drive, Sheets, or Docs. Authorising gives it permission to run securely within your account.
