This is a traditional "Inerquun" or cautionary tale used by our forefathers and blended with current events of hypothermia to validate the urgency. Tommy Phillip is a Yup'ik Eskimo elder in the village of Kongiganak. He was born in the mid-1930s and still remembers life before western civilization started impacting the way of life of the Yupiit. We share this with gratitude for his immense knowledge.
