At times, weather may require indoor recess and/or indoor PE classes. These weather conditions may include but are not limited to high heat index, poor air quality, lightning, and rain. Should the Director of Facilities, in collaboration with the K-12 Health Office Personnel and Divisional Principals, decide indoor recess and/or PE classes is necessary, all teachers will be communicated with accordingly and supervision will be adapted for indoor play.
To facilitate the return of any missing items, we request that all parents clearly label their child’s belongings with their name and homeroom class (i.e. 2B). This includes backpacks, lunchboxes, water bottles, and outerwear (sweatshirts, sweaters, jackets, etc.).
Lost and Found items are stored in the Elementary School Dining Hall. Periodically, unclaimed Lost and Found items are donated to charitable agencies. Parents will be notified before any items are donated.
Student assemblies, performances, and events may be recorded by AIS-R and a copy of this footage may be available on request. Adult guests for student assemblies and performances are permitted to take video recordings of the performance solely for their own use and enjoyment. To support the privacy of others in our community, video recordings of student performances should not be posted on the Internet or video sharing and social networking sites.
Supplies are needed prior to the first day of school for students in PreK to Grade 5. We provide many supplies, but there are a few things that you need to buy that your child will use regularly in his/her classes - the great news is that we have done the shopping for you. For the 2025-2026 school year all of the items will be available to purchase through AIS-R’s Eagles Nest. Thank you for your support.
