Sudeshan Reddy is a seasoned communications, advocacy, and outreach specialist with over 25 years of experience across three United Nations agencies and civil society. Currently serving as UNICEF South Africa’s Communications Specialist, he leads advocacy, media engagement, editorial oversight, and public outreach to amplify children’s rights and well-being. His career includes more than a decade as National Information Officer at the United Nations Information Center, where he profiled the UN’s work in South Africa, established a UN Communications Group, and launched an internship program to strengthen outreach and strategic communication. Earlier, he contributed to UNHCR as a Public Information Officer and began his career as a Research Officer at the Democracy Development Programme in Durban. With deep expertise in media, campaigns, public speaking, and project management, Reddy has been instrumental in advancing impactful initiatives such as UNICEF’s global child nutrition reports and advocacy campaigns that bridge policy, civil society, and public discourse.
