NEVER use "Test My Class." Use the test session that has been set up for you.
NEVER project the MAP Proctor Dashboard where students can see it.
NEVER "Terminate" a test unless directed to do so by Kathy. Always use "Suspend" instead.
All MAP communications should be sent in the MS MAP Google Chat - please DON'T send individual chat messages or emails to any member of the CIT Team, as you are unlikely to get a timely response!
Students will need scratch paper for the Math test--please have some ready, or let us know if you need us to bring you some. Students should not leave the room with used scratch paper.
If you have not proctored MAP before, please watch these instructional videos before testing begins:

They may need to restart their device.

Keep going to the right and click the button labeled "Add Student"
On the new screen, skip the dropdown menus and search for the student by ID number or last name

DO NOT confirm anyone until you have read the proper script.
Today we are starting the Reading Test.
Give your best effort on this test. It is a chance to show how much you know. Your teacher can use the test to help determine the areas they can help you with the most. This is not a timed test, so it’s important to take your time to understand each question before answering. Some questions will be easy, and others will be more difficult. It’s okay not to know all of the answers. If you are not sure how to answer a question, then ask yourself which answers are definitely wrong, and choose from the other answers. Read every question and try your best.
Before you finish a question, you may change your mind and pick a different answer. But, once you move to the next question, your answer is locked, and you cannot go back to the question you have already answered.
I’m here to help if there is a problem with the test. If something is missing or if the test tells you to slow down, then raise your hand.
If a reading passage is too long to fit on the screen, use the scroll bar on the right side of the passage to scroll down and display the rest of the passage and questions about it.
Sometimes a passage appears again and again, but look carefully, because you will see different questions for the same passage.
I will now confirm your test. As soon as you see the first question, you may begin.

On some (but not all) test questions, a calculator tool appears at the top. You can click the calculator picture to open an on-screen calculator that helps you answer the question.
If you are not sure about a word in a question, raise your hand for help. I can pronounce the word for you, but I cannot tell you what the word means or explain any math symbols.
I will now confirm your test. As soon as you see the first question, you may begin.
After you've finished reading the script, you may now click the blue "Confirm" box on your proctor dashboard. If a student is starting the assigned test for the first time, their test will begin automatically (usually within 30 seconds). If they are continuing a test they didn't complete in a previous session, a pop-up will appear on your screen--select "Resume Test" and click the blue button.
Once a student has begun testing, their status will say "Testing." It will change to "Completed" when they have finished the assigned test. Students who are absent or have not logged in will remain on "Awaiting Student."
Tick the box by their name, go to "Select Action" and select "Pause." Once the student returns and is ready to resume testing, tick the box by their name again, go to "Select Action" and select "Resume."
Remind the student to slow down and answer carefully, then tick the box by their name, go to “Select Action” and select “Resume.” DO NOT give students your Proctor PIN.
More info on Rapid Guessing is in this video.
Tick the box by the student's name, go to "Select Action" and select “Suspend.”
Tick the box by their name again, go to "Select Action" and select “Test Again.”
Have the student close the testing browser and log in again.
If this doesn’t work, contact the CIT Team through the MS MAP Google Chat room.
All students will start with the same test at the same time. If a student finishes a test and missed or didn't complete a test from a previous session, you can assign them a different test so they can keep working.
NOTE: Please don't move students ahead to the next test, only back to a previous test.
Once the student’s status has changed to “Completed,” tick the box by their name, go to “Select Action” and choose “Test Again.”
The student’s status should now read “Awaiting Student.” Tick the box by their name again, and this time click the button that says “Assign Test”.
A pop-up box of test options will appear--find the correct next test and click “Assign.” MAKE SURE you select the GROWTH tests, and the appropriate grade level version:
G5
Growth: Reading 2-5
Growth: Math 2-5
G6-8
Growth: Reading 6+
Growth: Math 6+
All Grades
Growth: Language 2+
The student's status should once again be on "Awaiting Student" with the new test assigned.
Direct the student to log in again (same Session Name and Password).
Confirm the student again once they have finished logging in (status will change to "To Be Confirmed."
If the student is continuing a test they didn't complete in a previous session, a pop-up will appear on your screen--select "Resume Test" and click the blue button.
Go to "Select Status" and select "Testing", then go to "Select Action" and select "Suspend."
All students should now show a status of "Awaiting Student," "Suspended," or "Completed."
