Grade 6 studied a range of artistic processes, from observational drawing to artist studies, 3D Art to digital drawing. Although a bulk of the Art course was online, students let their creativity shine during 'Quest' (below).
“QUEST not only upgraded my art level, but it also upgraded my creativity level as well. It was also a fun experience being able to do roleplaying as well as creating your own characters, creating your own sceneries, learning new art techniques, etc. This unit also taught me a wider range of skills in realistic human face sketching(during our lesson in character drawing). It most definitely helped my Art level improve.”-So 601
“Quest was a very nice unit, and probably one of my favourites of all time. The whole thing had a theme/ story to it, and it really piqued my interest. The unit really makes you use your imagination and creativity to make up a fantasy character and setting. It has helped me improve my creativity, and express myself. During the lessons, Ms. Shackleton also put riddles for us to solve, which also helped me improve my logical and/ or analytical thinking. This unit was a very well put together and thought out one, and has helped, not only me, but all of my peers with many important skills in art. I really enjoyed it.” - Doreen 601
“QUEST was so fun, it’s a RPG story thing that ‘updates’ every art class, during QUEST I created my own character and my own QUEST setting aka make your own place in the game. It was SO FUN.” -Elena CHI 601
