If you are the citizen of at least one of the 27 countries in the European Union (EU), then you entry type is EU citizen. The EU countries are the following:

90 days entry
Around 60 countries in the world signed a treaty with the European Union which allows their citizens to enter the Schengen Area visa-free and to stay for 90 days. In case you hold a citizenship in at least one of the following countries and if you posess a biometric passport issued by them, your case is 90 days entry.

If you are not a citizen of a country in the European Union and if your country did not sign a treaty to be visa exempt for less then 90 days stays in the Schengen Area, then you must apply for a D-type visa.
