Student Certificate
As a citizen of the European Union, you have the right to travel to, stay and work in Hungary, and with AIESEC, you can do it tax and permit free! In order to ensure the tax and permit exemption, you must be a student for the whole duration of your internship and you also must provide us a Student Certificate (SC). Once we received and accepted your SC, you'll receive the accomodation support from us and you can start looking for an appartment or room, and travel to Hungary.

Before coming to Hungary, you also need to make sure to have a health insurance that covers the whole duration of your internship. As soon as you have it, you can travel to Hungary. Do not forget the following documents at home:
your university diploma
your passport and/or ID
the original Student Certificate (or hard copy; only if it was issued in physical form)
your printed health insurance certification/policy

Since you are permit and tax free, there is just one legal thing that you have to do. After starting your internship at one of our partner companies in Hungary, you must registrate your temporary accomodation at the immigration office (Hungarian Directorate-General for Alien's Policing). For this, follow the next steps:
Register on enterhungary.gov.hu
On the 'My cases' page, press on 'new application', choose 'EEA citizen and the family member of an EEA citizen' and then select 'Registration certificate of an EEA citizen'.
Fill out the form with your personal data. Disclaimer: the mother's maiden name means the full name of your mother that she got when se was born. It should not contain her husband's name at all!
After filling out the form, press on the 'Save' button
Chosse the second form in the row on the top (1. picture) and fill it out. As legal basis, select 'other'.
On the third form, attach your:
passport/ID
signed application (fill out and sign this document)
health insurance
(if you have) EU security card
a bank statement on which you have at least 400 000 HUF or €1000 in section 'Documents substantiating sufficient means of subsistance' to the 'if the purpose of registration is "Other Purposes"' part.
your accomodation rent contract to the 'appartment lease agreement'
your trilateral internship contract in section 'Documents substantiating the purpose of stay ' to the 'if the purpose of registration is other' part.

After submitting your application, you may receive a confirmation in your storage in a few days. Make sure to check it regularly as the Immigration Office can ask for corrections or additional documents.
Please note that after finishing your internship and before moving out from Hungary, you have to notify the immigration office that you no longer wish to exercise your right of residence.
