Colorado Minimum Wage Rate

organic farm managers

Job Description- may include some or most of the following, depending on position:

• Greenhouse work: robust Spring work growing 30,000 certified Organic starter plants for local gardeners plus plants for the Farm 

• Field work (harvest, transplant, and weed crops)

• Packhouse work (rinse, bunch, pack, quality control, and prepare vegetables) 

• Pack CSA boxes, CSA distribution from Farm, Boulder, or Denver

• Farmers Markets- Longmont or Boulder on Saturdays 

• Prepare, pack, and drive market trucks

• Farm Stand (operating our roadside Farm Stand)

• Flower work (harvesting, designing, making bouquets, drying, etc.)

• Leading crews in any of the above areas

• Record-keeping, planning, preparing, communicating needs, teamwork

• Tractor work, irrigation

• Best suited to those interested in staying on for multiple years

• Requirements- ability to lift 50lbs, work in all weather conditions, flexibility for changing tasks, etc.

Open Positions:

*Managers, Leads:  $20-$22/hr DOE + staff veggies. Experience required. 40-55-hour weeks with OT pay over 40. That’s right- you get time-and-a-half pay for all hours over 40!! Mon-Fri or Tue-Sat, depending on position.

*Tractor/Equipment Operator: $20-25/hr DOE + staff veggies. 3-5 years of experience required. 40-55-hour weeks with OT pay over 40. That’s right, you get time-and-a-half pay for all hours over 40!! Mon-Fri or Tue-Sat.

Benefits: Bonus pay twice during the season for all full-time, full-season staff in their second year of employment at Aspen Moon! You’ll earn 1 hour bonus pay for every 40 hrs worked. Sick pay for all staff.  Innovative training program for all staff. Collaborative working group with a local facilitator so your voice can always be heard.

farm Crew

Job Description:  "Crooked Roots Farm is hiring for the 2026 season! Full and part-time positions available. Duties include planting, weeding, cultivating, harvesting, washing, and sorting a variety of organic vegetable and flower crops, light animal care (pigs, chickens, and sheep), CSA and farm stand distribution, and farmer’s market help on weekends. Bonus points if you have experience with (or are willing to learn) haymaking, flood irrigation, and on-farm poultry processing. You get to wear many hats on our small farm! Candidates must be able to perform physical work outside in all weather conditions and lift 50+ pounds repeatedly. A positive attitude, great attention to detail, superb communication skills, a hardworking attitude, and a passion for local food are critical to ensuring a happy and efficient team dynamic during the grueling summer months (and all year round!). Farm experience is preferred but not required. Some kind of outdoor and/or physical labor experience is required. Competitive pay for experienced farmers!

Location: Longmont, Colorado

Time type: Full-time or Part-time

Work schedule: -Full-time: 40 hrs/week, Monday-Friday, Tuesday-Saturday, or Wednesday-Sunday. Occasional overtime hours available (paid overtime over 40 hours!)

-Part-time: flexible, 2-4 days per week, must be able to work at least one weekend day

-Work day is 6am-3pm from mid-May through late September with later start and end times in shoulder seasons.

-Start date between early March and May, end date between late October and mid-December. There may be opportunities for winter work as well. We can be flexible with start and end dates to accommodate transitions to and from other jobs.

-Preference given to candidates who can commit to the entire market season (April through November) and who are willing to work rotating shifts on Saturdays and Sundays at the farmer's market.

Pay: $18-20/hr DOE + fresh veggies."
