The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration established equitable and minimum service level standards for migrant and seasonal farmworkers.
Florida’s Department of Commerce assists Local Workforce Development Boards in operating an outreach and employment program for migrant and seasonal farmworkers in accordance with 20 CFR 653. Migrant and Seasonal Farmworker outreach workers conduct outreach activities all year throughout the state.
Career center staff and partners educate Florida farmworkers about available services. The State Monitor Advocate conducts on-site quality assurance visits to career centers to ensure the provision of an equitable level of services to the farmworker community.
Targeted employment services, including outreach, are provided to migrant and seasonal farmworkers under the Wagner-Peyser program..
