At AEON School, students are placed in the math course that best aligns with their current skill level, ensuring a personalized learning experience. While some students enroll in courses above or below their grade level, most seventh-graders take Math C, which focuses on building a strong foundation in algebra, geometry, and number theory.

In Math C, students explore:

• Number theory: Investigating perfect squares, cubes, and their roots, as well as other number properties.

• Operations with rational and irrational numbers: Performing calculations and understanding their applications.

• Exponent rules: Simplifying expressions using the properties of exponents.

• Ratios and proportions: Solving problems involving ratios, proportions, and direct proportionality.

• Linear relationships: Developing skills in algebraic manipulation and graphing linear equations.

• Geometric shapes: Representing and analyzing two- and three-dimensional figures.

• Basic probability and data: Exploring the fundamentals of probability and creating data displays.
