Application and Testing FEES
There is a non-refundable Application Processing Fee of $23 for each application for each of our three programs
Applicants for Inside Wireman or Telecommunications Apprenticeship Programs also a $23 Aptitude Test Fee at the time of their application, which is a total of $46 - Learn More about the Aptitude Test
The Construction Electrician Program is not an apprenticeship - Applications for the CWCE program for individuals with no documented experience are temporarily unavailable

Do you live in the IBEW Local 613 Jurisdiction?
Please see the Jurisdictional Map - Georgia and the Jurisdictional Map -Alabama to confirm that you reside within the area represented by Local 613. Your work assignments may be anywhere within the jurisdiction.
Do You Already Have:
A Degree / Diploma from another trade/technical school in an Electrical Wiring/Technologies program? If so, please email your diploma & transcripts to ADMIN@aejatc.org and request a review for possible transfer credit or a waiver that may apply

If you have previously applied, or have already worked for one of our contractors, DO NOT create a new account. Please login to your existing account with the TradeSchool link above, or email ADMIN@aejatc.org for assistance

Important Information About AEJATC Application Requirements
STEP BY STEP - COMPLETING YOUR APPLICATION
The first step is to set up and request your Application Account in TradeSchool:
Create A New TradeSchool Account
The first confirmation is automated - please check your Email Inbox (and Spam folder) to confirm the email address you have provided
The second confirmation email (within 24 business hours) is when your account has been approved
***If you submit your request for an account after Noon on a Friday - it may be Monday morning before the account is approved
Be sure to upload ALL Required Documents (see lists for each program below) to complete your application. You will receive a welcome email with information about your next steps within a week of completing your application
Background Checks: if you have a felony less than 10 years old, please email the details to rsmith@aejatc.org before you apply. Many of the job sites and contractors require a 10-year background check for felonies
Documents Required to COMPLETE Your Application:
Inside Wireman OR Telecommunications Apprenticeship Programs
Your application will be incomplete if you do not submit all of the required documents listed by the deadline (March 31, 2026)
Photo ID (Driver's License or State ID)
ONE of the following: Birth Certificate, Passport, or a Naturalization Certificate
High School Diploma (or transcripts) or GED Certificate
**Are you a current High School Senior applying before graduating? Please request to have your transcripts emailed to ADMIN@aejatc.org from your school (counseling office) that shows you are on track to graduate in May**
Proof of Residence (to confirm that you reside in the jurisdiction)
One of the following items may be used as proof of residence
Mortgage Statement/Warranty Deed with your name on it
Last Year's W-2 or 1099 Tax Form with your current address
Voter Registration Card (for a digital copy: https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/)
Paycheck stub (that includes name and address)
Lease Agreement with your name on it
If you do not have any of these documents - please use this Proof of Residence form
Bills and other mail CAN NOT be used as proof of residence
ARE YOU A VETERAN? Veterans and current service members may take advantage of the application processing fee waiver, as well as Veterans Training Benefits by providing a copy of a DD-214 Long Form at the time of application. Contact Val McFall at ADMIN@aejatc.org about the fee waiver before starting your application. Ask about the other ways to utilize your VA benefits through the apprenticeship programs. *Non-Veterans skip this section in the Application requesting a DD-214 form
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION:
CONSTRUCTION ELECTRICIAN PROGRAM
Photo ID
Birth Certificate -OR- Passport -OR- Naturalization Certificate
At least one-year of documented experience in electrical wiring (W2/1099 tax forms or pay stubs)
Veterans can take advantage of the application processing fee waiver as well as advanced standing in the CW Program by providing a copy of a DD-214 Long Form at the time of application. Contact Val McFall at ADMIN@aejatc.org about the fee waiver before starting your application. ***Ask about advanced standing opportunities for veterans in the CE Program***
