Which Program is Right For Me?
HS Diploma or GED Certificate Required
Must pass an Aptitude Test (Score 5 of 9 Pts)
Starting rate of pay $17.71/hr with 5 levels of pay (1,600 hrs each)
Four-Years of Classes (720 hours) with set currriculum during two semesters each year
US Department of Labor registered apprenticeship program
Minimum of 8,000 hours of on-the-job training
Class one day every-other-week (7am-3pm)
Hybrid Courses, with some in-person & some virtual through Google Classroom
Total book & learning materials cost is due 6 weeks before the 1st semester start date, & each of 4 years
After passing the Aptitude Test - Apprentices are given priority for job placement with a contractor

No experience or academic credentials required to apply as a CW1
NO APTITUDE TEST (only for Apprenticeship)
Starting rate of pay $16/hr with 8 levels of pay (1,600 hrs each)
Entry to test as a CW2 – CW5: 1 – 4 years of prior documented & demonstrated experience required to be evaluated (tested-in)
Entry as a CE1 – CE3: 5 or more years of documented & demonstrated experience required to be evaluated (tested-in)
8 levels of Classes (CWCE Curriculum)*
with classes based on availability & entry level
*Individual subjects book & materials cost due before being enrolled into classes
Minimum of 12,000 hours of on-the-job training (including previous documented experience)
Classes in the evenings from 5pm – 8pm
Hybrid Courses, with some in-person & some virtual through Google Classroom
Applying for the CE program with no documented experience does not guarantee you a job with a contractor; there are fewer positions available for inexperienced CE Program applicants
