Construction Electrician Program

This is a go-at-your-own-pace, 8-level certificate program in Electrical Construction, with its primary focus on the practical skills in Commercial and Industrial Electrical Construction. People who have at least one-year of documented experience in electrical wiring can apply for and request to be tested-in to the program.

Similar in content to the Inside Wireman Apprenticeship, this program has a heavier concentration on practical hands-on and on-the-job learning. Students in this program attend related classroom and hands-on lab instruction classes in the evenings from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM (nights of the week depend on classes, based on your classification and availability).

A minimum of 12,000 hours of on-the-job training (including prior documented experience) is required to complete this program. Completion of this program leads to an IBEW/NECA certificate of completion, and a pathway to becoming a Journeyman Wireman.
