Throughout the mobility experience, we engaged in various activities aimed at integrating sustainability into education.
17th February 2025 (Monday)
Welcome meeting - introduction of the programme.
Needs analysis and goal-setting.
Personal expectations and curriculum.
Previous experiences with Greeting at School .
On the first day, we started the tarining session by introducing our school, our educational project and ourselves by using an amazing presentation. Then, the trainer did the same.
Before starting talking about the program, we talked about the Greek and the Portuguese educational system.
We were introduced to the program, set personal goals, and reflected on our previous experiences with greening initiatives in schools. This was followed by discussions on the importance of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and the role educators play in promoting sustainability.
18th February 2025 (Tuesday)
The second day focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their connection to environmental education.
We explored the differences between ESD and Greening approaches, and analysed key global environmental issues.
We also examined case studies on integrating SDGs into school curricula.
19th February 2025 (Wednesday)
On the third day, we delved into the Four Pillars of Education—learning to know, to do, to be, and to live together—and their relevance to sustainability.
We discussed essential teacher competencies for fostering environmental responsibility, engaged in interactive sessions on sustainability literacy and critical thinking, and reflected on challenges in achieving the SDGs within education.
20th February 2025 (Thursday)
The fourth day, we visited a natural park in Kifissia. We collected some information and evidence about the environment and sustainability. We brainstormed ideas and we did a short exposition of the theme.
We also had the opportunitty to see the trainer's school in Kallithea. It was really interesting because they still have vocational courses. They have a lot of machines and the students have been constructing some furniture in the school for the school.
