This week has been an amazing one and the studios can not wait to share.
Discover
Discover Studio continued working on the Anthropology Quest, with a focus this week on Archaeology. The Lions experienced the challenge archaeologists have when they must piece together artifacts that are no longer intact.
Travel Teams continued exploring different parts of the world, with a focus this week on holidays.
Grammar Labs, Spelling Labs and the much-loved Night Zookeeper writing forum, have all been this Session's Writer's Workshop. The overarching goal for Writer's Workshop has been to refocus on the purpose of writing, and raising awareness that writing as a means of communicating makes humans unique from other living things.
Both Discover and Spark Studios hosted guest speakers, Nicole and Benjamin Nordyke, who visited and spoke with the Lions about Down Syndrome! Benjamin and his sisters (who are Acton Lions) Hannah and Amelia, contributed to the presentation by demonstrating what it is like to have some developmental obstacles that are common with down syndrome.

The week for the Launchpad cottage saw new opportunities for our hero to dive further into the virtual teen space. Our Hero participated in a virtual, live-streamed course through the Gathertown platform as well as participated in a virtual Socratic discussion with many Acton heroes - spread throughout the globe. For Civilizations, they have begun a deep dive into the lead up to WWI and the period in the war before America's entry. theri Socratic discussions have given them the opportunity to compare and contrast the certain patterns of historical events which can, especially, be seen in our current day.
