Make a meaningful impact with Grade 8 in Chitwan, where hands-on service, wildlife conservation, and adventure come together in the heart of Nepal.

Students will immerse themselves in a high-impact service experience that connects community wellbeing with environmental conservation. Working alongside local communities, students will help construct biogas chambers that transform animal and plant waste into clean, sustainable cooking fuel. Their work will reduce reliance on firewood, protect surrounding forests and wildlife, and improve health and quality of life for local families.

The experience goes beyond service work. Students will challenge themselves on a white-water rafting adventure, cycle through local villages, paddle along rivers where crocodiles make their home, and explore Chitwan National Park on a Jeep safari. Along the way, they’ll learn about the relationship between people, wildlife, and the environment, including conservation efforts focused on rhinos, elephants, tigers, and other species.

Students will also experience the rich culture of Nepal by learning to prepare traditional Dal Bhat, taking part in Tharu dancing, and visiting the iconic Buddhist monuments of Swayambhunath and Boudhanath in Kathmandu.

This journey combines meaningful service, environmental learning, cultural immersion, and adventure. Students will return home with a deeper understanding of sustainable development, a tangible contribution to a local community, and memories of an experience that challenged them to make a difference.
