Q: When is the trip to Greece?
March 27 - April 2, 2026
Q: When will my child know who their chaperone is?
Suitcases will be dropped off at Ms. Bates', Mrs. Calera's, and Mr. Miller's classrooms the day before the trip (March 26), and students will learn who their chaperone is, as well as who is in their chaperone groups at that time.
Q: When will my child know who their roommates are?
When we arrive at our first hotel.
Q: What time does my child need to be at school on the day of departure?
Students should be at school at 5:45 am in order to get their suitcase and put it on the bus. The bus will leave at 6:00 am and cannot wait for late students.
Q: What time do I pick my child up from school April 2?
Barring any delays, pickup will be approximately 11:00 pm. Ms. Bates will update time of arrival to parents through WhatsApp.
Q: Can I pick my child up from the airport?
We ask that all students be picked up at ACS.
Q: Does my child need to wear the school uniform during this trip?
We follow ACS guidelines that traveling students wear an ACS green shirt on the days of travel. This will help us at the airport. While we are in Greece, students can wear school appropriate clothes.
Q: What if I have a diplomatic passport?
Students should send both diplomatic and regular passports:
Departure from the UAE will be with the diplomatic passport.
Produce the regular passport upon arrival & departure in Greece.
Arrive in the UAE with the diplomatic passport.
Ms. Bates will assist our students traveling with a diplomatic passport.
Q: Do I need my EID?
UAE Residence Visas are not printed in passports anymore. If a student doesn't have a valid UAE Residence Visa in their passport, they need to present a color-printed copy of the UAE Residence Visa and their EID. The UAE Residence Visa can be downloaded from the sponsors' UAE ICP application.

Temperatures range between 10° C and 20° C, with a mixture of sun and rain.
Q: What clothes should my child pack?
See the packing list.
Q: How will my child communicate with me?
We strongly encourage families to leave student phones at home. If students do bring a phone, they will be collected Friday morning by Ms. Bates. Once in Greece, students can access to their phones during dinner every other evening. Ms. Bates will also have a school phone that can be used in an emergency. The number will be shared.
Q: What electronics am I allowed to bring?
Students are encouraged to leave their phones at home. Laptops and gaming devices are not permitted. Students may bring cameras to document their experiences.
Q: What is the power in Greece?
Greece uses type c and type f plugins. The standard voltage is 230V. It is advisable to bring an adapter.
Q: How much money should my child bring?
This is an individual choice for families. An amount families have sent in the past has been approximately 100 Euros. This would be enough for small souvenirs and snacks. Money must be exchanged before we travel as we don't have time to stop at an exchange center.
