The 8th-grade science course further develops the skills necessary to understand how the scientific principles and knowledge are applied in the world today, recognize the uses and limitations of science and develop a positive attitude towards all areas of study in Science. This course continues to build on areas of study including Biology and Physics. Biology topics include human biology, body systems, health, heredity and reproduction; and physics topics include motion and forces, studied through integrated units. By the end of the 8^th grade and Middle School, students will have gained a solid foundation for high school Science study.
