This course is designed for students who have very little or no knowledge of Chinese. In this course, students will learn five language skills: spelling with tones for pronunciation (Pin-Yin), oral speaking, listening, Chinese character reading and Chinese character writing, starting with a few strokes. Through the learning process, the students will be expected to demonstrate the basic communicative skills in everyday situations.
