This one year-long elective course is designed for students who have at least three years playing experience on an instrument. Note-reading skills are imperative for this course and need to be at a very good level. 

This is a mixed level course and can be chosen by students for up to a maximum of three consecutive years.

The Intermediate Learners Instrumental Music course follows a performance-based curriculum. During their study students further develop proficiency on their instrument through the study of technical exercises and intermediate level instrumental repertoire. 

Students enrolled in this course are required to participate in all concert performances as part of their performance assessment.

Students interested in taking the course need to make sure that they have their study instrument at home for practice and homework purposes. Although the school can lend instruments to students, this is not always possible, and families need to check with the music teacher.
