This semester course is required of all eighth-graders. Students further develop their understanding of digital citizenship and ethical use of technology with a global perspective. Students expand on their knowledge of desktop publishing and analysis through individual projects. Students apply computational thinking to their choice of programming language and create projects focused on core programming concepts. Design thinking and prototyping are addressed through Lego Robotics challenges and website development. A review of effective research skills, including proper presentation, MLA formatting, and use of library resources are also covered.
