Hi! My name is Mrs. Hope Adams and I teach 3rd grade "Math and Content" at Appomattox Elementary School. This year begins my 17th year of teaching! My teaching career began by teaching kindergarten for 6 years in Connecticut. Then after moving to Virginia, I continued my career, teaching fourth grade for 2 years and kindergarten for 3 years at Holy Cross Regional Catholic School in Lynchburg. I moved to Appomattox County Public Schools in 2016 and this will be my sixth year teaching third grade at AES.
Virginia is home to me. I grew up and went through the Loudoun County Public School System in Northern Virginia and then on to Lynchburg College where I received a B.A. in Elementary Education in 2001.
I currently reside in Appomattox County with my husband, Tom, and our two children, Morgan (12) and Samuel (about to turn 5). Morgan is getting ready to begin seventh grade at AMS and Samuel is starting Kindergarten at APS in the fall. Tom is a retired police officer, and currently works with Lynchburg's Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney as their Body Worn Camera Assistant.
When not teaching, I am a member of the Appomattox County Historical Society, and I enjoy taking college courses to inspire our future learners. On the weekends, we spend a great deal of time enjoying family dinners, country music concerts, and traveling to theme parks.
